A note from John
July 2008...
I stopped selling this book a couple of years ago when I got too busy
with my Photography business, however I have had so many people still
wanting a copy
I have decided I will still supply it by Email at US29.95 (the hardcopy is out of print -
it
sold for $89).
Best wishes
John

I'm often asked how I became interested in color
In 1985 I was
conducting a (marketing/photography) seminar and I mentioned how we are subliminally
(below
our level of conscious awareness ) influenced by color, such as red
stimulating the appetite
(red is a common color in many Chinese restaurants).
I was then asked if I had anymore information on the psychological
effect of color. I hadn't so I decided
to do some research on the subject and found there
was very little information publicly available (most
of the research had been kept
secret,
but I've included it in the book).
I then spent the next 4 years conducting extensive
research on the
subject. I discovered that many of the major corporations around the world had spent many
millions of dollars researching the effect that color would have on their customers.
Although the information doesn't need up-dating it been
added to many times.
(Fashions may change but the psychological effects of color remains
constant)
